Bourton on the Hill
Moreton in Marsh
At the Horse and Groom we strive for the highest standards in all aspects of inn keeping. We have created a place to which you will want to return again and again.
Whatever your need the Horse & Groom will fit the bill. The light and airy bar is perfect for a quick tipple or an evening’s merriment. The beautifully restored dining room, where fabulous homemade food is served at lunchtime and suppertime, provides for those in need of a feed. And if you are planning to be in the Cotswolds for a little longer, our five sumptuous bedrooms await.
As early as 2002, brothers Will & Tom Greenstock were eager to find an opportunity to develop a venture of their own and put to good use the skills learned under their parents at the Howard Arms in Ilmington. In late 2004 that opportunity presented itself in the form of the Horse & Groom.
The Grade II listed Georgian building of honey coloured Cotswold stone is bursting with character and original period features, and enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding landscape from its hill top setting. With private parking and a large garden to the rear it almost seemed too good to be true. Will & Tom jumped at it, and in July 2005 set about injecting their own passion and pride into creating a lively new venue for drinkers, diners, and overnight guests.
The hard work is paying off as the Horse & Groom is already enjoying a reputation for quality and building a loyal following of customers.
